Focus Awards Level 5 Diploma in Aesthetic Practice RQF

NATIONALLY RECOGNISED: Level 5 is a nationally accredited qualification which is regulated by OFQUAL and certified by Focus Awards.  

 

The Focus Awards qualifications in Aesthetic Practice which includes Chemical Peeling, Microneedling, Mesotherapy, Radiofrequency and Hydro dermabrasion are designed to give Candidates the knowledge and skills to deliver safe, effective, appropriate aesthetic treatments within the standards of their relevant regulatory body e.g. NMC, GMC, GDC and/or HCPC, in line with best practice following CPSA Guidelines

Learners completing the Focus Awards Level 5 Certificate in Aesthetics Practice can progress to:

​

  • Level 7 Diploma in Aesthetic Practice

  • Directly into employment in an associated profession.

Payment Options

To enrol onto this course, You will be required to pay an enrollment fee of £700.  This will cover the cost of your registration, admin fees and will give you to access your course work.  You can spread the remaining balance over 6 months with our in house plan.

Alternatively you can apply for finance at 0%apr and spread the cost over 12 months.

You will be expected to complete your course within 12 months  although it can be completed sooner depending on how much time you spend on your assignments. 

Practical exams and assessment will be carried out once full payment has been made and all theory has been completed. submitted, marked and passed.   

 

If you take a payment plan for your course the final balance will need to be paid before you can participate in your exam.

Entry Criteria for Focus Awards Level 5 Diploma in Aesthetic Practice RQF

Learners will be expected to hold the following:

  • Level 4 regulated qualification in a related sector

  • First Aid at Work qualification or equivalent

  • Basic Life Support qualification

  • Anaphylaxis qualification

  • Minimum of 2 years’ industry experience

 

In addition, those undertaking the qualification must have a proficient level of spoken and written English and, if English is not the Candidate’s first language, they must hold a formal English language qualification of at least Level 2, e.g.

The Level 5 includes the following units:

  • Management of Health and Safety, and Infection Control Protocols for Aesthetic Procedures

  • Legal and Statutory Regulations in Aesthetic Practice

  • Advanced Consultation, Skin Analysis and Assessment for Aesthetic Treatments

  • Skin Science for Non-Surgical Skin Procedures

  • Anatomy and Physiology

  • Chemical Skin Peeling Treatments

  • Skin Needling Treatments

  • Advanced Mesotherapy for Skin Rejuvenation

  • Provide Hydro Dermabrasion and Radiofrequency Treatments

The qualification provides a specialised work-related training programme that provides an extensive range of knowledge and understanding, as well as practical skills required in the aesthetics field. This qualification offers a general core of necessary units that can be applied in any aesthetics context.

The aim of this unit is to develop learner knowledge and understanding on Chemical Skin Peeling and the relevant anatomy & physiology.

The aim of this unit is to develop learner knowledge and understanding of skin needling treatments and the relevant anatomy and physiology.

The aim of this unit is to develop learner knowledge and understanding of Mesotherapy for skin rejuvenation and the relevant anatomy and physiology.

The aim of this unit is to develop learner knowledge and understanding hydro dermabrasion and radiofrequency treatments and the relevant anatomy and physiology.
